Making Corrections

Sometimes data needs to be corrected after it's published. Here's how.

Who Can Correct?

  • Contributors: Can request corrections
  • Owners: Can approve/reject corrections
  • Admins: Full correction access

Requesting a Correction

  • Navigate to the metric value
  • Click Request Correction
  • Enter the new value
  • Provide a reason for the change
  • Submit for approval
  • Approval Workflow

  • Owner receives notification
  • Reviews the correction request
  • Sees old value, new value, and reason
  • Approves or rejects
  • Requester is notified
  • Direct Corrections

    Owners can make direct corrections:

  • Edit the value
  • Provide a reason
  • Save immediately
  • No approval needed, but logged in audit trail.

    Correction History

    All corrections are tracked:

    • Original value
    • New value
    • Who made the change
    • When it was changed
    • Reason provided

Access via the metric's history tab.

    Locked Periods

    Once a period is locked:

    • No corrections allowed
    • Admins must unlock first
    • Used for financial close

    Best Practices

    • Always provide a clear reason
    • Make corrections promptly
    • Review before publishing to minimize corrections
    • Use period locks appropriately
