Dynamic Target Types

Scorecard.biz supports multiple target types to match different business needs.

Target Types

Fixed Target

A single target value that applies to all periods.

  • Best for: Consistent goals that don't change
  • Example: "Always maintain 95% customer satisfaction"

Period-Based Targets

Different targets for different time periods.

  • Best for: Seasonal businesses, growing targets
  • Example: Higher sales targets in Q4 than Q1

Formula-Based Targets

Targets calculated from other metrics.

  • Best for: Relative goals, ratios
  • Example: "Marketing spend should be 10% of revenue"

Progressive Targets

Targets that automatically increase based on a growth rate.

  • Best for: Growth-oriented metrics
  • Example: "Increase monthly revenue by 5% each period"
  • The system calculates each period's target based on the previous period plus growth
