Metric Types
Scorecard.biz supports three types of metrics based on how data is collected.
Manual Metrics
Data is entered by users through the data entry interface.
Best for:
- Data not available in other systems
- Qualitative assessments
- One-off or irregular measurements
- Assign contributors for data entry
- Set entry deadlines and reminders
- Support corrections with approval workflow
Calculated Metrics
Values are automatically computed from other metrics using formulas.
Best for:
- Ratios and percentages
- Aggregations (sums, averages)
- Derived KPIs
- Profit Margin = (Revenue - Cost) / Revenue
- Average Deal Size = Total Revenue / Number of Deals
- Year-over-Year Growth = (This Year - Last Year) / Last Year
