Metric Types

Scorecard.biz supports three types of metrics based on how data is collected.

Manual Metrics

Data is entered by users through the data entry interface.

Best for:

  • Data not available in other systems
  • Qualitative assessments
  • One-off or irregular measurements
Features:
  • Assign contributors for data entry
  • Set entry deadlines and reminders
  • Support corrections with approval workflow

Calculated Metrics

Values are automatically computed from other metrics using formulas.

Best for:

  • Ratios and percentages
  • Aggregations (sums, averages)
  • Derived KPIs
Examples:
  • Profit Margin = (Revenue - Cost) / Revenue
  • Average Deal Size = Total Revenue / Number of Deals
  • Year-over-Year Growth = (This Year - Last Year) / Last Year

See Formulas for more details.

Integrated Metrics

Data is automatically pulled from connected external systems.

Supported integrations:

  • HubSpot (CRM data)
  • Xero (Financial data)
  • Google Sheets (Any data)
  • Custom APIs (Webhooks)
Benefits:
  • No manual data entry
  • Real-time or scheduled updates
  • Single source of truth

See Integrations for setup instructions.
